Angel Marcloid

Bio

Since the early ‘90s, Chicago-based musician Angel Marcloid has made music—noise, avant-garde, new age, prog rock, screamo, grindcore, jazz fusion, and a hybrid of all of it—from a slew of different aliases and bands. She ran a cassette label called Rainbow Bridge as well as a net label, Swamp Circle, until 2017 and 2018, respectively. Currently, Marcloid has two main projects: Fire-Toolz, her swirling, amorphous, worldbuilding experimental music, and Nonlocal Forecast, her outlet for quieter, more calming sounds. Her most recent record, Fire-Toolz’ Field Whispers (Into The Crystal Palace) came out on Orange Milk in Summer 2019, and Nonlocal Forecast’s latest, Bubble Universe! came out on Hausu Mountain in Spring 2019.
