Adam Vallely, which may or may not be his real name, is a musician in and/or spokesperson for The Armed, a mysterious and shape-shifting musical collective from Detroit, Michigan. The previously anonymous band revealed their identities—kind of—in early 2021, prior to the release of their album ULTRAPOP. Like all of their previous music, the digital version of ULTRAPOP was released for free. Rumors and conspiracy theories continue to surround the band, who play a boundary-free combination of hardcore, math rock and pop.
