Bio
Allicette Torres is a Puerto Rican artist and the founder of Revolú Gallery & Projekts, with spaces in New York, Mexico City, and Puerto Rico. She also founded Umbral, an artist residency in Mexico City. She chairs the International Caucus of the Women’s Caucus for Art and represents the organization at the United Nations. Her essay “The Speed of Surrender: A Study in Institutional Cowardice” appeared in (UN)Censored: Rules, Responsibilities, Restraints: Women’s Pursuit of Equity, edited by Karen M. Gutfreund. Belicosa, the bilingual art quarterly she founded, launches in early 2027. She has a Substack.
