Amy Scholder

Bio

Amy Scholder is an editor, writer, publisher, and producer. She has been editing and publishing progressive and literary books for over two decades. She created the infamous High Risk imprint with Ira Silverberg where she published books by Cookie Mueller, June Jordan, Kate Bornstein, Gary Indiana, Sapphire, Lynne Tillman, Hervé Guibert, Robert Glück, Heather Lewis, John Giorno, and many others. In 2020, she produced the award-winning documentary Disclosure, focusing on Hollywood’s depiction of transgender people and its impact on the transgender community and American culture. She lives in Los Angeles and serves as a contributing editor at City Lights Books and on the Board of Directors of ONE Archives.
