Andrew Ahn

Bio

Andrew Ahn is a Korean-American filmmaker born and raised in Los Angeles. His feature film debut, Spa Night, premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. He recently directed the first six episodes of This Close, a Sundance Now original series created by and starring deaf actor-writer duo Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman. Ahn is currently prepping to shoot his second feature film. Here, he discusses the experience of being a first-time feature director, the importance of community-building, and why you can’t let imposter syndrome hold you back.
