Anne Serrano-McClain is the nose and founder behind MCMC Fragrances, a small-batch, family-owned perfumery based in Brooklyn, NY. She grew up in Rhode Island and Japan, and took aromatherapy classes for about two years before enrolling at the prestigious Grasse Institute of Perfumery in France. MCMC has garnered praise from The New York Times, Vogue, NYLON, and the Financial Times, who called the brand’s scents “genius in a bottle.” Their latest releases are “White Temple,” with notes of incense and oak, and “Monoi,” with notes of vanilla and tiare flower.
