Bio
Bebe Miller is an American choreographer, dancer, and director from Brooklyn. Following her graduation from Ohio State, Miller danced in the troupe of Nina Wiener for six years. She formed her own company, Bebe Miller Dance, in 1984. She was a professor of dance at Ohio State from 2000 to 2017, holding the rank of Distinguished Professor in the Arts and Humanities when she retired. Miller has received four New York Dance and Performance “Bessie” Awards and support from the National Endowment for the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts, Guggenheim Foundation, and many others. She was a United States Artists Ford Fellow, received one of the first Doris Duke Artists Awards and a New York Live Arts 2013 David White Award, and was a 2015 Movement Research Honoree.
