Brian Anderson
Bio
Brian Anderson is a Chicago-based writer and editor. Formerly a senior features editor, writer, and producer at VICE, he more recently served as a contract science editor at The Atlantic, where he was part of the Pulitzer Prize-winning team for early pandemic coverage. He later worked as an editor at Vox. He is now a journalism professor at Northwestern University. The child of two lifelong Grateful Dead fans, who both orbited the band beginning in the early 1970s, his first book, Loud and Clear, explores the creation of the band’s legendary Wall of Sound audio system, which redefined the live music experience.
