Carlen May-Mann

Bio

Carlen May-Mann is a writer, director, and artist dedicated to personal and emotive storytelling. Her work as a director includes two short films—the Kickstarter-funded The Rat (an Official Selection of the 2019 Sundance Film Festival), and Burn, Baby, which was shot and edited on 16mm film. Her feature-length screenplay Strawberry Summer has been recognized by Tribeca/AT&T Untold Stories (top 15 finalist), the Black List/Women in Film Feature Lab (semifinalist), and the BlueCat Screenplay Competition (semifinalist). The film also secured a Cinereach development grant and is slated to shoot in 2019.
