Bio

Singer-songwriter Carré Kwong Callaway, aka Queen Kwong, has been writing and recording synth-heavy, darkly melodic rock since her late teens. Her first EP, Love Is a Bruise, landed in 2010, followed by Bad Lieutenant (2013), Get a Witness (2015), Love Me to Death (2018), Oh Well (2019), and Couples Only (2022). Earlier this year she released STRANGERS, an EP of four reinterpretations of cis-gendered male songwriters’ works. On her Substack she has been outspoken about the culture of misogyny, grooming, and manipulation inherent in the male-dominated music scene.
