Christelle Kocher
Bio
Christelle Kocher is the founder and creative director behind Koché, a Parisian fashion label that describes itself as being “the crossover of high fashion, street culture, and contemporary art.” After graduating from Central Saint Martins art and design school in London, Kocher spent the next 13 years operating within the luxury fashion industry, working with the likes of Bottega Veneta, Dries Van Noten, Chloé, Sonia Rykiel, Martine Sitbon, and Emporio Armani. In 2010 Kocher became the artistic director of Chanel’s Maison d’Art Lemarié and would go on to launch Koché in 2014. Here Kocher discusses the realities of juggling multiple projects, ways to stay inspired, the value of having practical work experience, and why she generally has no time to be creatively stuck.
