Claudio Sodi

Bio

Since founding the Mexico City-based production company Magnifico Entertainment, Claudio Sodi has produced over 30 plays throughout Mexico, France, Spain, and Latin America. Considered part of the new theatrical wave, his work with Mexican directors and playwrights has won him recognition as one of the youngest and most respected theater producers of his generation. He has also directed over 20 internationally recognized short films, and in 2016 he founded Squash 73, an art space in Mexico City. In October 2017, Index (a library of contemporary photographers and filmmakers co-run by Sarah Lewis) and Squash 73 introduced the first installment of an ongoing collaboration called On the Table. For the series, select photographers and filmmakers are invited to dive further into their personal work through curated experiences, intimate conversations, and community-oriented workshops. On the brink of their fourth show together, Claudio and Sarah sat down to interview each other for TCI’s Peer Review series.
