Esther Choi

Bio

Esther Choi is chef and owner of mŏkbar, with locations in Chelsea Market and Brooklyn, as well as chef and partner of Ms. Yoo. She has been named one of Food Republic’s “New Chefs Rising” and Zagat’s “30 Under 30.” In 2014, mŏkbar was named Village Voice’s Readers’ Choice Best New Restaurant. From 2018 to 2019, Choi hosted Eater’s “The Kitchen Gadget Test Show.” Currently she hosts Get Down with K-Town, a podcast about Korean-American culture, which features Roy Choi, Judy Joo, Charlotte Cho, Dumbfoundead and more. She is opening a third mŏkbar location in Midtown.
