Georgina Johnson
Bio
Artist, curator, art director, and publisher Georgina Johnson believes in art and culture as realms where we can apply imagination towards the growth of symbiotic relationships between people, planet and community (human + nonhuman). Her practice has resulted in the independent publication of two books: The Slow Grind: Finding Our Way Back to Creative Balance (2020) and The Slow Grind: Practising Hope and Imagination (2023) and subsequent formation of The Slow Grind Press - For Di People Dem. Her work also includes the curation of exhibitions and production of public programs for cultural institutions including The Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt Design Museum. She is an alum of the Jerwood Arts Curatorial Accelerator Fellowship, recipient of a publishing grant by British Heritage brand Mulberry England.
