Holly Rankin
Bio
Holly Rankin is an Australian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer best known by her musical nom de plume, Jack River. More than just a successful musician, at just 28 years old, Rankin is emerging as one of Australia’s youngest festival promoters. Four years ago she started the annual Grow Your Own Festival in her hometown of Forster–promoting local and sustainable culture–and in 2017 she co-founded Electric Lady, a movement that has her curating all-women stages and festivals as well as creating opportunities for female acts that previously didn’t exist. In addition, her concern for the impact of global warming led her to host and curated a panel of experts in Sydney in 2019 on her headline tour called CLIMATE HOUR. She also works with FEAT. (Future Energy Artists), an award-winning initiative led by Cloud Control’s Heidi Leffner, the goal of which is to counteract artists’ carbon footprint. Her new EP as Jack River, Stranger Heart, was released in February of 2020.
