Bio
Joshua Jennifer Espinoza is a trans woman poet living in California. Her work has been featured in Denver Quarterly, Lambda Literary, PEN America, Hyperallergic, and elsewhere. She is the author of two collections of poetry—i’m alive / it hurts / i love it (boost house 2014) and THERE SHOULD BE FLOWERS (CCM 2016). Here she discusses the relationship between creativity and emotional health, Twitter as a testing ground for ideas, and how poetry facilitates a powerful shared experience through language.
