Jeff Weiss is a music journalist, critic, and editor from Los Angeles. Founded 13 years ago, his blog Passion of the Weiss, one of the few rap-centric music destinations left, successfully transitioned from a personal Blogspot to an online magazine with an international staff of contributors. Apart from PoW and the adjunct label PoW Recordings, Jeff hosts the “Shots Fired” podcast as well as a radio show for Dublab, and co-runs the club night “Don’t Come to LA.” His freelance work has been published by the Washington Post, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Noisey, and more. In 2018, Jeff found himself spearheading a movement to boycott the LA Weekly, for whom he was a columnist for many years, after the local magazine came under new management.
