Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig (Lucius)
Bio
Formed by vocalists and songwriters Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, the indie band Lucius released their debut, Wildewoman, in 2013. In 2024, they re-recorded and expanded the collection. As Wolfe and Laessig put it, “We wanted to bring back that same spark and energy you really only get in the beginning, when everything is new, and all firsts feel magical.” The updated album features Marcus Mumford on “Go Home (The New Recording)” and Devon Gilfillian on “Tempest (The New Recording),” and the CD/vinyl version features collaborator Brandi Carlile on the previously unreleased “Housewarming (The New Recording).” It’s out now on Fantasy Records. In addition to their work with Lucius, the Grammy-nominated Wolfe and Laessig are members of Joni Mitchell’s famed “Joni Jam” crew and have graced songs by dozens of artists including: Carlile, The War on Drugs, John Legend, The Killers, Harry Styles, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Black Pumas, Jeff Tweedy, and Ozzy Osbourne.
