Jill Sobule
Bio
Jill Sobule is an American singer-songwriter who has released more than a dozen albums and EPs over the past two decades. Though she is arguably best known for the 1995 single “I Kissed a Girl“—the first song about same-sex romance to crack the Billboard Top 20—Sobule has worked in a variety of genres and formats over the years, including recent forays into writing for the theater. An early pioneer in crowdfunding (In 2009 she released one of the first albums funded entirely by fan donations), Sobule used Kickstarter to fund her most recent album, Nostalgia Kills, which was released in September of 2018. It is her first album of all-new material in nearly a decade.
