John Carpenter

John Carpenter is the director and co-writer of several classic horror and sci-fi films such as Halloween (1978), The Fog (1980), Escape From New York (1981), and They Live (1988), among many others. He is a rarity among directors in that he often composes the scores for his films—and many of those scores have become as iconic as the films themselves.
