Jorge Drexler

Bio

Born in Montevideo, Jorge Drexler was a busy physician before he decided to become a full-time singer at the age of 30. His musical career catapulted after winning an Oscar for the theme song to the film Motorcycle Diaries. Drexler has lived in Madrid for more than 20 years since his music career took off. He has collaborated with such artists as Caetano Veloso, Shakira, Natalia Lafourcade and Mercedes Sosa.
