Kacy Lee Anderson’s evocative voice—at once haunting and comforting—makes her a beloved figure in contemporary folk and country music whether performing solo, with her band The Waverley Pickers, or as one half of the acclaimed Canadian duo Kacy & Clayton. The Kacy & Clayton partnership caught the attention of Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, who produced two of their albums. Together, the duo has toured extensively over the past decade, opening for acts including Ray LaMontagne, William Prince, Colter Wall, The Decemberists, Bahamas, and more. They’ve also performed at renowned festivals such as Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and MerleFest, and have been nominated for a JUNO Award. Anderson’s most recent release, Early Hits (2025), recorded with The Waverley Pickers, channels the storytelling traditions of artists like Sandy Denny, Iris DeMent, and Merle Haggard.
