Kaina
Bio
In 2019 Kaina released her debut album Next To The Sun to critical acclaim and played shows across the US, Canada, Europe, and Japan. Touring with acts like Sleater-Kinney and Cuco, she brought her signature soul-infused psych-pop, and her hometown community of Chicago musicians to find likeminded dreamers around the world.
Kaina’s sophomore album It Was A Home, released in 2022, brought lush orchestration and timeless songwriting to the themes that consume her mind: home and belonging. As seen in her NPR Tiny Desk performance recorded that same year, Kaina creates entire worlds around her music, pulling artistic collaborators and fantastical creations into her orbit. Despite the album’s success with fans and critics, the unsustainable hustle of touring and the rigid nature of the music industry began to take a toll, so Kaina took a step back.
In 2026, Kaina is in a period of transition and restoration. Her focus is on developing a centered and sustainable way to interact with music, art, and the world, while having fun trying new hobbies and hanging out with her cats!
