Lucy Dacus

Bio

Lucy Dacus is an American musician and songwriter hailing from Richmond, Virginia. In 2016, she released her first album, No Burden, a collection of intimate, forthright folk-rock songs she wrote after quitting film school to pursue music full-time. In 2018, Matador released Dacus’ sophomore effort, Historian. Later that year, Dacus teamed up with new friends and fellow singer-songwriters Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker as boygenius, and together they sold out huge rooms across the country. Dacus’ next record is an EP of four covers and three originals, each set to be released around a holiday. It is scheduled for release in November of 2019.
