Magdalena O’Neal is a chef and writer from Oakland, California, whose culinary practice is shaped by her family’s Southern roots and California’s rich agricultural landscape. She began cooking professionally at 14 as an intern at Chez Panisse, where she honed her skills in zero-waste techniques and working with peak-season produce. In her 20s, she expanded her practice as a food stylist, writer, and content creator before embarking on a series of pop-ups around the world, including in Mexico City and Copenhagen.
