Bio
Meg Duffy grew up in a small town in Upstate New York and they started out as a session guitarist and touring member of Kevin Morby’s band. Hand Habits emerged after Meg moved to Los Angeles; it started as a private songwriting outlet but evolved into a full-fledged band with Meg at the helm. Hand Habits’ debut album, Wildly Idle (Humble Before The Void), was released by Woodsist Records in 2017. Two years later, Hand Habits returned with their sophomore album, placeholder. Since the release of placeholder, Meg has toured and collaborated with Sylvan Esso, Angel Olsen, and Perfume Genius (in which they’re a touring guitarist), among others. 2021 sees the release of a new EP, dirt (Saddle Creek), and a forthcoming LP.
Jenn Wasner is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, producer and songwriter based in Durham by way of Baltimore. She releases solo music under the name Flock of Dimes and as half of beloved duo Wye Oak. She is also a member of Bon Iver, and of Sylvan Esso’s extended live lineup. Over the years, Wasner has collaborated with Future Islands, Helado Negro, Sharon Van Etten, Deerhoof, Shearwater, William Brittelle, and more. She also produced Madeline Kenney’s Sucker’s Lunch (2020) and Perfect Shapes (2018). Like So Much Desire, Flock of Dimes latest EP, came out last summer via Sub Pop. Her forthcoming sophomore solo LP, Head of Roses, will be released April 2nd.
