U.S. Girls is the recording moniker of American-Canadian avant-pop musician Meg Remy. Her new album, In a Poem Unlimited, was released this year, and features an all-star cast of Toronto collaborators including Basia Bulat, Jennifer Castle, Michael Rault, and Remy’s husband Max Turnbull (aka Slim Twig). Here she discusses finding a creative community, the value of staying offline, and the importance of practicing empathy in your work.
