Mia Doi Todd is a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles. From her first solo acoustic album, The Ewe and the Eye, to her recent soundtrack for a film adaptation of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” Mia has distinguished herself as an artist with a unique voice and singular vision. Her album, Cosmic Ocean Ship, was chosen by the New York Times as one of the top ten records of 2011. Her new album, Music Life (City Zen Records, 2021), focuses on family, motherhood, and the life of the artist. As an LA native and a person of mixed race, Mia has always placed great importance on fostering multi-cultural community. To this end, she helped create the music venue, Zebulon, which opened in 2017, as a home for musicians and community in the Elysian Valley neighborhood where she grew up.
