Bio

Camae Ayewa is a Philadelphia-based musician, poet, activist, and artist who performs as Moor Mother. She’s part of the Black Quantum Futurism collective. Her debut album, Fetish Bones, came out last year on Don Giovanni. Later this month, that same label will release Crime Waves, her collaborative EP with Mental Jewelry. In her singular, deeply personal music, she combines noise, politics, and Afrofuturism.
