Bio
Wilma Theater Co-Artistic Director Morgan Green directs plays, films, podcasts, and dinnertime. Her work celebrates goofiness, visual poetry, and surprise. Green was a Co-Founder of the award-winning theater company, New Saloon (Minor Character at The Public Theater, Cute Activist at The Bushwick Starr). More recently, Morgan developed and directed the Barrymore-nominated world premiere production of School Pictures, written and performed by Milo Cramer at the Wilma Theater, then at Playwrights Horizons which was lauded as Vulture’s best production of the year for 2023. Morgan directed two more world premieres for the Wilma: Eternal Life Part 1 by Nathan Alan Davis and the digital production of Fat Ham by James Ijames which went on to win the Pulitzer Prize. Other credits include The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe (West Coast Premiere, Marin Theater Company), The Music Man by Meredith Wilson, Far Away by Caryl Churchill (The Sharon Playhouse), and BOY FACTORY by Milo Cramer (Playwrights Horizons Soundstage). Her short film One More Time With Feeling premiered at the Raindance Film Festival in London October 2023. Morgan is a New Georges Affiliated Artist and a member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
