Noelia Towers is a Chicago-based artist born and raised in Barcelona. She creates paintings inspired by personal experiences like her chronic illness and the relationship between pain and pleasure, often using her image as a medium to explore body dysmorphia and learning to exist in a permanently sick vessel that conditions her well-being. Her work is a way of healing from trauma by creating images that come from a dark place and turning them into something empowering.
