Olivia Kaplan

Bio

Olivia Kaplan came to music through the stories and voices of American folk and jazz music that scored her childhood in Southern California. At thirteen she started writing songs on her dad’s Guild acoustic and has dedicated herself to the craft with ever-growing acuity since. After pursuing a formal vocal and music education in high school and college, she left McGill University in Montreal. Kaplan began her recording career back in Los Angeles while finishing her degree in ethnomusicology at UCLA. She has since become a hometown standout of the Los Angeles singer-songwriter circuit. She currently lives in LA and is writing her next record.
