Rachel Aggs

Bio

Rachel Aggs is a musician based in Glasgow. As a member of three active bands—Shopping, Trash Kit, and Sacred Paws—she plays guitar, violin, and sings. Aggs has written several zines, including I Trust My Guitar and DIY Guitar for Beginners, and since 2017 she has led a series of women and nonbinary-focused guitar workshops in the UK. Apart from her bands, Aggs has contributed to performances of works by Pauline Oliveros, Glenn Branca, and Thurston Moore at venues such as the Tate Modern and the Barbican. The fourth Shopping album, All or Nothing, was released in February of 2020.
