Ravenna Hunt-Hendrix is a musician, writer and sculptor best known for her work in the band Liturgy. In 2009, she published the philosophical and artistic manifesto Transcendental Black Metal: A Vision Of Apocalyptic Humanism, which outlined her aspirations for Liturgy while coining the term (“transcendental black metal”) that she uses to describe the band’s musical style. In 2016, she released an electronic album called New Introductory Lectures on the System of Transcendental Qabala under the name Kel Valhaal. In 2022, her sculpture work was exhibited at Gern en Regalia in New York. Liturgy’s latest album is entitled 93696.
