Ryan Wallace

Bio

Ryan Wallace was born in 1977 in New York City, and lives and works in Brooklyn and East Hampton, New York. He received his BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and his work has been shown at museums and galleries all over the world. His work can be found in the collections of the RISD Museum, Providence, RI, Museum of Modern Art, New York; SFMOMA, San Francisco; Marjorie Barrick Museum, Las Vegas, NV: and the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, CA, among others. He is the founder and director of Halsey McKay Gallery. Here he discusses the path that led him from being a graphic designer to a working artist who also happens to run a gallery.
