Sam Linguist
Bio
Sam Linguist (b. 2001, Waxahachie, TX) is a New York-based artist who works between painting, ceramics, artist books and installation. He thinks of his work as a painting practice for climate-catastrophe times, painting underglaze on stoneware and then firing the results, culminating in a weather-proof surface. He frequently works with a large collaborative community, and recently created a cookbook with over 80 collaborators as a feature of his most recent solo exhibition. He is an alumnus of The Yale Norfolk School of Art and received a BFA from The New School in 2024.
