Sharon Van Etten
Bio
Brooklyn-based musician Sharon Van Etten has released four studio albums, most recently, 2014’s Are We There. Since the release of that album, she’s guested on a number of albums and songs, including work by Spoon, Lee Ranaldo, and Michael Cera. She also wrote and performed the original score for the feature film Strange Weather, performed “Tarifa” on Twin Peaks: The Return, contributed the Skeeter Davis classic “The End of the World” to the soundtrack for Amazon’s The Man In The High Castle, and made her acting debut as the character Rachel in Netflix’s The OA. A deluxe vinyl reissue of her debut album, (it was) because i was in love, is being released on November 17, 2017, via Vinyl Me Please and in Van Etten’s online store. (It willl be available digitally everywhere). The album’s opener, “I Wish I Knew,” was sung by Van Etten in her role on The OA. She’s currently at work on her next full-length.
