Tanya Aguiniga

Bio

Los Angeles-based Tanya Aguiñiga is a celebrated artist/designer/craftsperson whose studio practice is balanced with impactful community activism rooted in her personal history. Born in Tijuana, Aguiñiga spent her formative years criss-crossing the hectic San Ysidro border on a nearly daily basis for schooling. Drawing from this experience and her desire to help mend the collective trauma of transnationals and migrants, her AMBOS project has traced the entirety of the US-Mexico border creating dialogue and healing through art.
