Bio

Tom Warrior is the guitarist, vocalist, and lyricist behind three of the most important Swiss metal bands of all time: Celtic Frost, Hellhammer, and Triptykon. His pioneering work in the 1980s with Celtic Frost and Hellhammer laid the foundations for death metal and extreme metal in general. He is the author of two books about his life: 2000’s Are You Morbid? and 2010’s Only Death Is Real: An Illustrated History of Hellhammer and Celtic Frost: 1981-1985. He also worked for many years as the personal assistant to the renowned (and Academy Award-winning) surrealist painter and sculptor H.R. Giger, up until Giger’s passing in 2014.
