Eli Sudbrack
Bio
Eli Sudbrack was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and lives and works between Sao Paulo and New York. Since 2001 he has collaborated with Christophe Hamaide-Pierson, and others, as Assume Vivid Astro Focus, an art collective that fuses drawing, sculpture, video, and performance into bright, colorful carnival-esque multi-sensory installations, and other things. Their name is a reference to the album Assume Power Focus by Throbbing Gristle, and to the band Ultra Vivid Scene. Eli has collaborated with Delia Gonzalez and Gavin Russom. He did the video for “Relevee,” in 2007. A still from that video was used as the cover for the Relevee EP.
